Project Description My Hiking is a modern hiking platform built with React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. It allows users to explore hiking destinations, discover popular trails, manage trips, and enjoy a responsive, user-friendly experience powered by a RESTful API.

- JWT Authentication + MongoDB — Registration and login are directly connected to MongoDB via the User model (passwords are hashed with bcrypt, JWT tokens are stored in localStorage)
- Mountain Destinations — listings with search, difficulty filters, sorting, three view modes (Grid / Card Carousel / Map), full details (trails, checkpoints, campsites, tips, flora/fauna, Google Maps with a custom navy/gold color theme)
- Hiking Events — now displayed as a card grid (images, event type badges, participant quota progress), no longer as a horizontal list
- Hiking Bookings — comprehensive form with automatic price calculation & ticket codes
- Reviews & Ratings — hikers can leave reviews; mountain ratings update automatically
- Hiking Events — Open Trips, Volunteer Events, Clean Mountain, etc.
- Blog — articles with categories & search
- Gallery — masonry layout with category filters
- User Dashboard — profile, booking history, wishlist
