DocVera SignForge is a self-hosted PHP application for sending PDF documents to one or more signers, tracking progress and verifying completed documents. Optional AI assistance can suggest fields and summaries using a configured provider.
Requirements
PHP 8.1 or newer with PDO MySQL, GD, Fileinfo, Mbstring, OpenSSL and JSON. A MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.4+ database is required for the documented installer. Use writable protected storage and HTTPS. AI and email features require the relevant provider configuration.
Installation
- Back up an existing installation and follow UPGRADE.md for updates.
- For a new installation, create an empty database and upload the application to your PHP host.
- Open the application to start install.php. Complete requirements, database, application and administrator steps.
- Use protected storage outside the public web root where possible and verify the installer is locked.
- Configure email and scheduled reminders, then test a sample signing workflow. See docs/INSTALLATION.md and the included help guides.
