Echoes of the Veil is a complete, ready-to-publish HTML5 action
platformer. A lone knight descends through five cursed realms, fights
five multi-phase bosses and earns the Radiant armor at the end of the
story. It is written in plain JavaScript and Canvas 2D: no engine, no
framework, no build tools. Open index.html and it runs.
FOR DEVELOPERS
- One config file (config.js) for ads, save key and a test "unlock all
stages" switch
- Ads: GameMonetize built in, a "custom" slot for any other ad SDK, or
no ads at all. Ads run at run start, stage clear, revive and every
5th Survival wave; the game pauses and mutes during every ad
- Level data, boss stats, enemy stats, story text and survival rules are
plain tables in the code, documented with search keywords
- Seeded stage generator for quick new layouts within the knight's jump
limits
- All sprites are regular PNG files: replace and reskin
- Local fonts and assets: works offline and on any static host
