## Android App Features

### Login and account access

- Users must login with email and password created in the admin panel.

### Remote app configuration

The app reads values from the admin panel API after login:

- Playlist enabled or disabled
- Playlist URL
- EPG enabled or disabled
- EPG URL
- Maintenance mode
- Admin Telegram account

Your Android resource value for the API is at:

```xml
<string name="auth_api_base_url">https://yourwebsite.com/api</string>
```

Change `auth_api_base_url` to your website url.

### Playlist playback

- Loads the playlist URL returned by the admin panel.
- Supports M3U playlists.
- Supports text playlist formats and playlist URL fallback parsing.
- Supports grouped channels.
- Loads channel logos from playlist metadata.
- Caches parsed channel data for faster reloads.
- Can refresh the channel list from the app settings.
- Playback is blocked when playlist is disabled or maintenance mode is enabled.

### EPG

- EPG is controlled by the admin panel, not hardcoded in the app.
- The EPG URL is optional.
- EPG loads only when the admin panel EPG switch is enabled and a URL is provided.
- Supports direct XML and XML.GZ style EPG URLs.
- EPG data is used for channel list info, the EPG drawer, and player overlay program information.

### Maintenance mode

- The app checks server maintenance status while a user is logged in.
- When admin enables Maintenance Mode, connected users are logged out back to the login screen.
- The login dialog shows `Server under Maintenance`.
- Playback and channel loading are blocked until maintenance mode is disabled.

### Android TV and phone navigation

- Supports Android TV remote navigation.
- Supports Android phone touch controls.
- Android TV back button closes settings dialogs, left drawer, left sub drawer, and EPG drawer before exiting the app.
- Menu and D-pad controls can open channel groups, channel lists, EPG drawer, and settings.

The app settings menu includes:

- Account information and logout

- Screen size: Fit, Fill, Zoom
- Decoder: Hardware or Software
- Display settings:
- Show time
